The pool party is wonderful idea to celebrate your child’s birthday. The pool party is an interesting theme full of fun and excitement for your child’s birthday. Party can be hosted in your home if you have pool or makeshift kitty pools. Otherwise look in your neighborhood for clubhouse. In case you don’t have pool at home, I will advise booking clubhouse in advance, say 4-6 months before your child’s birthday. Most of time clubhouse is heavily booked. Enjoy a fantastic Pool Party

Pool party has its own challenges, since your birthday guest are young kids, it is recommended to let guest know about the pool party and the depth of pool. Many of your guests may not be expert swimmers. It is recommended you invite parents too so that they can take care of kids and also act as helping hand for lifeguard duty. You will need life jackets, floats, towels and support swimwear tools etc. Advise your guest to get towels, swim trunks, swim goggles and sun crème etc. On a cautious note, inform your neighbor about your party plans and the timing, also advise your guest for parking related directions.

Pool party invitations
Start with making pool party invitations by using construction paper, create pool related picture in printer and paste it on your invitation card. Fold invitation card into two parts, use one part for writing message and other part to paste swimming gear stickers. These stickers are available at party planner stores.

Decorating Pool Party
Create festive environment in your pool part by adding bright colors and adding colorful items around pool. Keep couple of pool umbrellas on each corner of pool. Add pool chairs and tables around pool. Decorate pool with banners, streamers and plastic flowers (colorful). Make four bunches of balloons and tie them at each corner with high chair or pole away from little kids reach. Add music to pool party and your party will start rocking.

Pool Party Games for Kids
Rubber Duck Race – Kids will get into pool and each will have one duck to swim from one end to other end. Kids will push rubber duck using only their nose and swim duck from one corner to other corner.

Relay Race Swimming
Divide kids into teams and have them compete for relay race. This is healthy exercise and also creates healthy competition. Ensure kids competing in this game are good swimmers. Please supervise all pool activities under adult supervision.

Hunt for pool toys
This game is for kids who are expert swimmers and can hold breath under water for some time. Spread pool items in water such as beads, rings, bangles, plastic toys (fish sea creatures). Only expert swimmers should take part in this activity. Ask them to dive into pool and get items out of water. Whoever gets most item out of pool gets prize. Again only expert swimmers should take part in this activity and adult should be watching over kids.

Pool Party Limbo
This is fantastic game and goes with music. All you need is a bamboo stick rounded on both corners to avoid injury. Need two adults to hold stick and play music. Form line and let each kid pass under the stick; keep cheering as each kid passes under the stick. Keep reducing stick height round after round and keep playing music.
